Ramadan day 12 Baking Banana Cake With My Sistren :)

Today was a nice relaxed and chilled day alhamdolillah. My sistren came round and we each made a banana cake. I do love baking almost as much as I love eating cake MashaAllah. Here's the recipe:
125g butter
1 cup of sugar
1tsp Vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 cups of self raising flour
1 tsp of cinnamon
1/2 a cup of milk
2 mashed ripe bananas
And a handful of crushed or roughly chopped walnuts
Set your oven at 180 Celsius. Grease your loaf tins. I used one page one but my friend made it in two small one's. Cream the butter and sugar together. Mix in the vanilla extract, then the eggs. Sieve in the flour and cinnamon and milk well. Then add the milk. Gently fold in the bananas and the walnuts.
Spoon or pour into the tin and then bake in the oven for 50-60 mins.
I use this basic recipe as its quick and.very easy to remember. You can change the ingredients from banana to carrot to make a basic carrots cake. I've done it before and it works well. There are better recipes for banana and carrot cake but this one is quick and easy.

I've got so much to finish off this week I just hope that I can get it all done so I can focus on the rest of Ramadan InshaAllah.
I wanted to share my sons artwork because I absolutely love it MashaAllah the way he creates his art is fascinating to watch.
